The MCA Department organized a Shloka Recitation Competition on 4th October 2024 from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM . The event aimed to promote appreciation for Sanskrit literature and Indian cultural traditions among students. Participants enthusiastically recited various shlokas such as Manache Shlok, Venkatesh Stotra, Ram Raksha Stotra, Mangala Charan, Bhagavad Gita shlokas, and Rudrashtakam. The competition was judged by Dr. Manisha Kumbhar and Prof. Anagha Sawant based on pronunciation, sequence, expression, and presentation. The event received an enthusiastic response from students and faculty members. Winners were awarded prizes, and all participants received certificates of participation. The competition successfully encouraged students to connect with their cultural roots while improving their confidence and public speaking skills.
The MCA Department of Suryadatta Education Foundation enthusiastically participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Cleanliness Rally organized by the Pune Municipal Corporation, Kothrud-Bavdhan Regional Office, as part of PMC’s 75th Foundation Day celebrations. MCA students, faculty members, and PMC officials actively took part in the rally, spreading awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, waste segregation, and environmental responsibility through banners and slogans. The event promoted the message of “Clean India, Green India” and encouraged civic responsibility among students. The rally was a great success and inspired participants to contribute towards maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The MCA Department of Suryadatta Institutes of Management, Pune successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune on 24th September 2025 at Bansi-Ratna Auditorium, Suryadatta Bavdhan Campus. With proper medical supervision and safety measures, the initiative promoted health awareness, social responsibility, and compassion, reinforcing the message that a small act of kindness can help save many lives.

The event commemorated the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru and aimed to promote creativity, confidence, and joyful learning among students. Various activities such as Quiz Competition, Fun Games, Group Games, and Pushap Competition were organised, where students participated actively and showcased their talents. Students from the Suryadatta MCA Department, Bavdhan, Pune enthusiastically participated in Lokshahi Maharashtra Samvad organised by Lokshahi Marathi News Channel and Deccaleap Media at The Orchid Hotel, Baner, Pune. The event focused on the theme "Comprehensive Development of Western Maharashtra." It brought together eminent political leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and academicians who shared valuable insights on governance, infrastructure, education, agriculture, and social welfare. The programme provided students with first-hand exposure to real-world governance and policy-making, enabling them to interact with distinguished panellists and gain practical understanding beyond classroom learning. The Suryadatta MCA Department organized an Election Awareness Campaign to promote the importance of voting among students. The programme aimed to encourage responsible participation in the democratic process, especially among first-time voters. Students were informed about their electoral rights and civic responsibilities through an interactive awareness session. The campaign included a Voting Pledge, where students pledged to vote responsibly and inspire others to do the same. A Quiz Competition was conducted to enhance awareness about elections and democratic values. Students also participated in Rangoli and Poster Presentation competitions, creatively expressing messages on voter awareness and responsible citizenship. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. It helped strengthen civic awareness, democratic values, and social responsibility among participants.
Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din was enthusiastically celebrated on 27th February 2026 at the SGI Library premises under the guidance of Mrs. Trupti Lasrekar. The programme highlighted the richness and cultural heritage of the Marathi language. Dr. Ketki Bapat inaugurated the event and spoke about the literary contributions of Kusumagraj, while the honorary guest Dr. Sunil Dhangar emphasised the importance of preserving regional languages in today’s globalised world. MCA students actively participated through Marathi poem recitations, speeches, and cultural presentations, making the event vibrant and memorable. The celebration encouraged students to take pride in and promote the Marathi language.
The MCA Department of Suryadatta Group of Institutes organized a Plastic Collection Drive across the SGI campus. Around 40 MCA students and faculty members actively participated in collecting plastic waste such as bottles, bags, caps, straws, and other discarded materials from different campus areas. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, who encouraged students to actively participate in environmental awareness initiatives, including tree plantation and social service activities. The collected plastic waste was sent for recycling, and the drive successfully created awareness among students about cleanliness, environmental protection, waste management, and sustainable practices.
The MCA Department of Suryadatta Institute of Business Management and Technology proudly celebrated Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19 February 2026 at Shaniwar Wada from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event was organised to honour the birth anniversary of the great Maratha warrior king and to instil values of courage, leadership, discipline, and patriotism among students. The celebration included a ceremonial lamp lighting and tribute to Shivaji Maharaj, vibrant cultural performances by students, a grand Rath procession depicting important episodes from his life, and the energetic beats of traditional Dhol-Tasha. The programme successfully strengthened cultural pride, promoted awareness of Maharashtra’s rich heritage, and inspired students to follow the ideals of bravery, justice, and good governance demonstrated by Shivaji Maharaj.

During the program, Mr. Phulari was honoured with the Suryadatta Suryabhushan National Award 2025 for his excellence in leadership and service to the nation. Founder President & Chairman, Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordiya, inspired students to use education for nation-building and emphasized discipline by encouraging limited mobile phone usage during college hours. Suryadatta Institute of Management & Mass Communication (SIMMC) and Suryadatta Institute of Business Management & Technology (SIBMT) successfully conducted a two-day Faculty Development Program on Advanced Excel on July 22nd & 24th, 2025. The program, led by Excel expert Prof. Upendra Lele, focused on advanced functions, PivotTables, dashboards, and data analysis techniques. The training enhanced the technical and analytical skills of MBA and MCA faculty, empowering them to simplify complex concepts, mentor students effectively, and integrate Excel-based tools into teaching and research. Ganesh Utsav 2025 was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Suryadatta Institutes of Management & Mass Communication, Bavdhan, Pune, from 27th August to 29th August 2025. The celebration began with the installation of Lord Ganesha followed by collective Atharvashirsha Pathan by students and faculty members. The campus became vibrant with traditional dhol–tasha performances, cultural participation, and students dressed in traditional attire. Daily Aarti and Prasad distribution were organized throughout the celebration period. The eco-friendly decoration reflected the institute’s commitment towards environmental awareness along with cultural values. The celebration concluded with the Visarjan ceremony conducted with devotion and chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya.” The event strengthened cultural and spiritual values, promoted teamwork and leadership among students, and fostered unity and harmony across the institute.
A guest lecture on “Role of Youths in Their Journey and How to Complete Their Academic Journey” was organised for MCA-I students on 19 September 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Classroom–205. The session was delivered by Prof. Sunil Dhangar (SGI), who guided students on the importance of goal setting, time management, and maintaining focus during their academic journey. He also highlighted the vital role of youth in shaping society and encouraged students to develop discipline, determination, and a positive mindset. The interactive session inspired students to reflect on their academic habits and motivated them to work towards a successful future.
